The Daily Campus’s recent article, UConn Extension is connecting Connecticut schools with local farms, dives into the work CLEAR member, Jiff Martin, is doing is with regards to her work as the director of the “Put Local on Your Tray” program. This program, which began in 2015, is designed to assist K-12 public school districts in incorporating fresh, local Connecticut-grown products in their cafeterias and now has 26 participating school districts.
