Connecticut is developing a coordinated set of data resources to improve the understanding of water across the state. New hydrography, wetlands and land cover maps, infrastructure data, and stream gauge records together support more accurate flood modeling and better decision-making for environmental protection, infrastructure planning, and long-term resilience. In this presentation, we will discuss how these datasets relate to each other and contribute to a more complete understanding of how and where water flows across Connecticut, which will help us be better prepared when emergencies happen.
