With growing interest in local and sustainable sources of food, The keeping of chickens in residential backyards is increasingly popular. However, concerns about the potential impacts on neighbors can make the issue a hotly debated one in town halls.

This webinar will provide an overview of the current state of local regulations of backyard chickens in CT, discuss some of the common concerns people raise, and provide suggestions from a new UConn fact sheet on how to regulate from a "one Health" perspective, i.e., one that is protective of public, animal, and environmental health.
