The Land Use Academy has two new training classes scheduled for land use officials.
The Advanced Training Academy held on November 5 was a huge success. As a result, another Advanced Training Academy is scheduled for March 31, 2012. The Academy will be held on the University of Connecticut Stamford Campus.
The Advanced Land Use Academy training is a departure from the Basic Training that is usually offered. In response to feedback from both professional planners and land use commissioners, the all-day advanced course will cover three topics in-depth, Bias and Conflicts, Conditions and Modification, and Running a Meeting. This training will include plenty of time for audience participation, questions, observations, etc.
The next Basic Training Academy will be held on April 21, 2012 in Haddam at the University of Connecticut Middlesex Cooperative Extension Center.
