Advanced Legal Procedures Training

Topics covered:
The Land Use Academy's Advanced Legal Procedures Training for land use commissioners is presented by the UConn Center for Land Use Education and Research (CLEAR) in collaboration with the CT Bar Association. The training will cover these topics:
- Running a Meeting and Making a Decision
- Bias, Predisposition, and Conflicts
- Fair and Affordable Housing requirements
Provides three or more (3+) general commissioner training hours and one (1) hour of training in Fair and Affordable Housing Practices as required under the CGS 8-4c. In-person attendees will receive certificate of attendance, virtual attendees will receive email confirmation of time spent in session.
Registration: $55 for either in-person or virtual (Zoom) participation (breakfast and lunch provided for in-person attendees). Registration closes Wednesday, November 18 at 10:00 a.m. (Seating is limited so early registration is encouraged.)

NOTE: This training is provided annually, taught by prominent Connecticut land use attorneys. Content of training is similar to previous Land Use Academy Advanced Legal Procedures training.
