Natural Resources

- Detailed Topography
- Vernal Pools
- Habitat Maps
- Detailed Open Space Maps
- Scenic Vistas
- Connecticut Watershed Maps (pdf format including basin names and flow direction)

Cultural Resources

- Community facilities such as schools, government buildings, and community centers
- Utility lines which can be obtained from the utility companies, or from aerial photographs
- Parcels which can be obtained from the town tax assessor
- Local zoning is the most prevalent type of regulation in your town, designating what use and density of development is allowed; local zoning is not available statewide, but would be an important inventory layer to acquire for your CRI.
- Historic resources/sites such as stone walls, historic buildings and sites.
