5. Andover Water Resources: Ground Water
The ground water quality map is a based on Connecticut DEP’s Connecticut Water Quality Standards and Classifications. It shows the overall classification that is assigned by CTDEP to each known groundwater source, based on both the overall quality of the water and and how suitable that quality is for drinking water supply. The classification scheme reserves the highest rating for those ground water sources thought to be suitable for public water supply. These maps should be used for overall planning purposes only, since the geographic coverage and recentness of local data may vary. Ground water quality data was updated March 2009.
