3. Andover Land Cover
Land cover data comes from the UConn Center for Land use Education And Research (CLEAR). It is based on information from the Landsat satellite, and relates what is on the surface of the land in your town—what areas are forested, what areas are developed, etc. The land cover data is captured in 30-meter squares (“pixels”), and so is appropriate for town-level analyses. The CLEAR website also contains historical (back to 1985) and other land cover data for your town that you may find useful for your CRI or related projects.
