1. Choose Town Base Map: Orientation Elements
A good base map is important to provide context for all the natural resource and other information that you want to display on your coastal resource map(s). Our very simple version of a base map includes town boundaries and orientation elements such as roads, railroads and major water features. Most people use these features to orient themselves when visualizing map information. Other data layers appropriate for a base map: aerial imagery, topographic maps. |
